A REUNION OF OLD FRIENDS
Far away, towards the edge of time (either near the end of at the very beginning, depending on from where you are looking),
Three ancient friends reconvene after having spend a very, very long time apart.
The purpose of their meeting; to share their stories with one another before witnessing the coming end of reality.
Despite being far removed from who they once were when they first met, they greatly appreciate each other’s company. Untold ages have passed since their first meeting and so they have countless stories to share.
Now more god than creature, names have become irrelevant. Each of their selves transfixed into one of three unique archetypes. They are ‘The Three’ separate yet whole, equal pars of ‘The One’.
They gather amongst the chaos, it’s dark static radiating out into infinity, touching their skin with a warm pulse. The creatures of their biomes come together as they recount their adventures.
This is the end. All possible movements have been made, every viable destination reached, originality atrophied.
The static expands and they feel their forms merge as they become one with the abyss.
